APPLICATIONS/SOLUTIONS Industrial and Plant Management A large industrial operation stacked finished goods on flatbed railcars, then positioned each railcar for pickup. The maintenance department for various jobs around the plant uses a wheel loader equipped with a general-purpose bucket.
ACS Application: An ACS coupler-equipped front end loader uses pallet forks for placement of palletized goods on flat-bed railcars. A quick-coupler equipped railcar coupler is strategically located in the center of the yard. When the railcar is loaded, the operator drops off the forks, picks up the railcar coupler in seconds, and spots the railcar. The operator then switches back to the forks or general-purpose bucket, depending on the next job to be done. The ACS coupler system reduces the need for two vehicles, and, at the same time, also increases loader productivity. |
