Pin-On Stiff-Arm Thumb
ACS Pin-On Stiff-Arm Thumbs are custom designed and manufactured to work with a specific bucket so that they integrate seamlessly with the bucket’s geometry, lace with the bucket’s teeth, and give the operator the widest range of motion possible in all job applications.
The rigid-link connection between thumb body & stick is manually adjustable to three different working angles with a fourth position for stowing out of the way when not in use. No hydraulics are required for this thumb. Field Upgrade Kit to add a hydraulic actuation to your thumb is available.
ACS Thumbs are available with either serrated or smooth teeth. Thumb teeth crafted from tough, long lasting AR400 material ensuring even wear throughout the life of your attachment.
Important Notes
Pin-on thumbs are made specifically for the bucket they will be used over. For the best customer satisfaction, lowest installation cost and maximum productivity ACS recommends you use an ACS bucket that is specifically designed to fit and work with your thumb.
Adding a Coupler: ACS will vary the thumb length according to whether or not you plan to use the thumb on a coupler-equipped machine. A thumb on a coupler-equipped excavator needs to be longer in order to interlace correctly with the bucket teeth.

Custom Thumb Design
ACS will custom design your Pin-On Thumb to fit another manufacturer's (non-ACS) bucket. A measurement sheet and instructions will be provided for communicating bucket data to our engineering team. -
Serrated or Smooth Teeth
Serrated teeth provide a more secure grip on the material being handled. Smooth teeth don't mar or cut into the material. We recommend smooth teeth for working with things like logs that will be cut into lumber or stones intended for use in decorative landscaping.
